WOA General Assembly to take place on 22 October 2015

Following the announcement that the inaugural World Olympians Forum (WOF) will take place in Moscow, the WOA has confirmed that the General Assembly will take place following the Forum on 22 October 2015.

During the General Assembly NOAs will elect WOA Executive Committee members and vote on constitutional changes. An update on the activities of the WOA as well as its mission, purpose, aims and objectives for the year ahead will also be delivered.

Members are now able to nominate WOA Executive Board candidates. To nominate a candidate for the elections please complete the WOA Executive Board candidacy form via this link. The deadline for nominations is 1700 ECT on 5 October 2015.

The WOF, established by the WOA in partnership with the Russian Olympian Committee, is a new platform that will bring together all 143 NOAs, Olympians, representatives of the IOC and the Olympic Family, Governments and other key Olympic, sporting and non-governmental stakeholders to celebrate Olympism, share best practices and discuss the key issues concerning Olympians.

Details on how NOAs should register attendance of their representative for both the WOF and the General Assembly will follow separately.
