29 | 7 | 2016

Olympians. It only takes a few minutes to ensure your legacy lives on forever in peoples’ memories. WOA and the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage want to ensure that your phenomenal achievements and contributions are remembered long after you retire from elite sport.

The Olympic Museum is calling on Olympians of all ages to donate sports equipment and memorabilia from your time competing at the Olympic Games to add to their permanent collection in Lausanne and exhibited in displays all over the world.

Yes. Two simple steps are all it takes for you to have a permanent, physical place in the history of the Olympic Games for all to see and hear.

Step 1. Donate your sports kit or equipment used at any edition of the Games. It will be carefully preserved in the IOC Heritage Collection and exhibited at the Olympic Museum and around the world.

Step 2. Tell everyone about your Olympic experiences through a Words of Olympians filmed interview at the Olympians Reunion Centre in Rio during the Olympic Games. Your experiences, your challenges, your achievements and your messages, all in your words will be captured for future generations.

That’s it. Two simple steps to immortality. Visit the Olympians Reunion Centre in Rio or drop off your donations and to schedule a Words of Olympians interview.
