World Olympians Association is pleased to announce it has received a clean and fully compliant audit for the fifth consecutive year, following the release of its 2017 Financial Statements.
The audit, carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Switzerland, demonstrates WOA’s commitment to maintaining the robust financial processes bought in by the Executive Committee.
WOA President, Joël Bouzou, said:
“Being in a strong financial position allows us to look to the future with confidence as we continue to drive forward our mission to be of service to Olympians, empowering them to serve society.
“It underpins our ability to run programmes and projects that fulfil that mission, such as the WOA Grants Programme, Olympians Health Study, the expansion of our NOA Development Programme, and our ever-expanding OLY initiative, while supporting key global events such as Olympic Day.
“It also enables us to move forward confidently with our plans for upcoming major events including the 2nd World Olympians Forum in Lausanne in April and next year’s OLY House at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
“I would like to thank our treasurer Patrick Singleton, our accountant Etienne Hamoir and our management team for their hard work and expertise.”
