World Olympians Forum draws nearer

3 | 5 | 2014

We are now in the last lap of our negotiations with a major international city to host the inaugural World Olympians Forum this autumn. We expect to be in a position to confirm the exact location and date (likely to be October) soon and we kindly ask you to make a note in your diary for what should be an informative event centred on you, the National Olympians Associations, your members and the work you do your communities to spread the values of the Olympic Movement.

The WOF Steering Committee is currently being set-up. Its job will be to determine the Forum programme. You can expect a series of workshops, one-on-one sessions, speeches and special insights from industry experts and NOA representatives – including sharing best practices and how NOAs can help their Olympian members to get active in their communities.

Economy class travel, accommodation and meals will be covered for one person from each NOA. Other NOA representatives are welcome to attend at their own cost. The WOA negotiate favourable rates for any extra delegates where possible.

We look forward to providing further updates about the inaugural WOF very soon.
