Olympians enjoy the Opening Ceremony at the WOA Watch Parties

The Milano-Cortina Olympic Games kicked off in style at the San Siro watched by Olympians in Milan who weren’t at the stadium at the WOA’s Watch Party at Casa Corona and online at e-OLY House.
The WOA Watch Parties were the place where Olympians from around the world could watch the Opening Ceremony together while reconnecting with old friends or making new friends over a beer or two, or online with a virtual drink.
The Party at Casa Corona was oversubscribed with Olympians coming from far and wide. One Olympian drove 6 hours from Germany just to be at the party. And an Olympian Grandpa was there to see his two Olympian grandchildren as they marched in the Opening Ceremony.
Also in attendance were an Olympian for Life inductee, the President of one of the WOA’s newest National Olympians Association and a family who came all the way from the South Pacific, for the Games, not just for the party.
e-OLY House opened its doors for the Opening Ceremony with the platform hosted by the WOA’s Sandrine Billiet OLY. WOA President Pernilla Wiberg OLY gave a short welcome speech and then attendees watched the Ceremony and chatted amongst themselves.
There will be a WOA party in Cortina, details to be announced soon.
And OLY@8 starts today (Saturday). Every day during the Games Sandrine will be joined by an Olympian guest to preview the days events at 8am cet and to review the days events at 8pm cet at e-OLY House. You can enter e-OLY House 24/7 HERE.
