World Olympians Forum gets closer

5 | 2 | 2014

The WOA is now in the final stages of negotiation with a Host City for the inaugural World Olympians Forum [WOF], which is planned to take place this autumn.

The WOF will bring together all 142 National Olympians Associations to share and discuss best practice, hear from experts and discuss the topics of greatest interest to Olympians. Representatives of National Olympic Committees, National Federations, Governments and other key Olympic, sporting and non-governmental stakeholders will also be invited to add their experience and knowledge to the Forum.

The launch of the WOF is part of a series of new initiatives aligned with the WOA’s programme for reform and growth.

WOA President, Jöel Bouzou, said: “I am delighted that the WOA is making great strides in the planning for the inaugural World Olympians Forum. Establishing the new Forum is just one of the ways the WOA aspires to connect and support Olympians around the world.”

More details about the 2014 WOF will follow very soon.
