Sixty Olympians from the Monaco Olympians Association met with the Monaco Olympic Committee to discuss concrete ways to spread the spirit of Olympism within the Principality and beyond.
The meeting was attended by World Olympians Association Patron and five-time Olympian, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco OLY.
Prince Albert was joined by Jeremy Bottin OLY, President of the Monaco Olympians Association, H.E. Mrs. Yvette Lambin Berti, General Secretary of Monaco Olympic Committee, and Joël Bouzou OLY, President of World Olympians Association, to look at ways to drive even closer collaboration between the NOA and NOC.
By adopting a collaborative approach the two organisations are able to have an even greater impact, and reach and inspire even more people, particularly through a successful schools engagement programme.
WOA President, Joël Bouzou OLY, commented:
“I am particularly happy to see active Olympians in Monaco spreading the values of Olympism within the schools in order to convince more and more young people to make their first steps in sport. Olympians working closely with their NOC to activate these programmes is so important to their success.”
The Monaco Olympians Association meets regularly to ensure its members remain active and engaged in the Olympic Movement.
