18 | 11 | 2019

The IOC Sport and Active Society Commission is looking to award four $20,000 grants to grassroots organisations that are using sport and physical activity as a means to tackle social issues around the world.

Olympians working for a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), non-profit, or charitable foundation, or an International or National Sports Federation can apply for these annual grants.

The 2020 edition is specifically seeking out organisations with activities fostering one of the four themes below:

  • Social inclusion of forcibly displaced people
  • Promotion of gender equality
  • Tackling climate change and protecting the environment
  • Promotion of sport and physical activity participation through innovation

If you, as an Olympian, are involved in an organisation that is running a programme along one the above themes, you can apply for one of the grants to help grow your projects and reach even more people through sport.

Applications can be submitted HERE and should be made by 1 December 2019.

Successful applicants will be announced in early 2020.
