The WOA Executive Committee oversees the running of the World Olympians Association between General Assemblies. So, what makes our EXCO members tick?
WOA EXCO members reveal their passions and their hopes for the next four years in new profiles just published.
The WOA EXCO is made up of 20 Olympians: The President, Secretary General and Treasurer elected by the General Assembly; a male and female representative elected by each of the five continents; five members appointed by the IOC President, reflecting our close working relationship with the IOC, and two members appointed by WOA EXCO.
EXCO’s next big task will be to finalise the WOA Strategic Plan 2021-2024 following consultation with the National Olympians Associations and other stakeholders.
WOA President Joël Bouzou OLY said:
“EXCO works to drive forward the goals and mission of WOA and open doors to more opportunities for NOAs and Olympians globally. We are focused on offering the resources to support Olympians worldwide and to enable them to create positive social change and spread the values of the Olympic Movement.”
