Applications are now open for four 100% scholarships to study online at the prestigious University of London (UoL).
The online Postgraduate Certificate in International Sports Management is a chance to accelerate your career and gain a globally recognised university qualification. There are intakes starting in September 2021 and February 2022.
This year’s scholarships follow the success of the first year of our partnership with UoL and World Academy of Sport. In addition to the full scholarships, there will be a series of partial scholarships available for Olympians to be able to participate in this programme.
The course is time-flexible, remote and designed to allow you to complete it at your own pace. It is available to Olympians at every stage of their careers.
Submit your application by filling in this online form before 29 June 2021 before 17:00 Lausanne time. Eligible candidates will require an approved level of English.
Simona Castro OLY (Chile) and Sebusiso Keketsi OLY (Lesotho) were awarded full UoL scholarships in 2020 and are already using their new skills and qualifications to secure employment opportunities within the global sport industry.
Simona Castro OLY, said:
“To have the opportunity to complete the University of London’s International Sports Management Programme has been a fantastic experience. The scholarship has provided me with the skills to make a real difference in my community and I’m able to use what I’ve learnt during the course to support the next generation of local athletes in Chile.”
Chris Solly, Managing Director, World Academy of Sport, said:
“We are delighted with how many Olympians have joined our scholarship programme and are engaging in further learning in this way. With initiatives like this, WAoS, along with our global education partners, is helping the sports industry on the road to recovery from the COVID-19 crisis through our fully online education pathway. This provides opportunities from high school to postgraduate education, with some of the world’s leading global educational institutions as our partners.”
Dr Oscar Mwaanga, University of London, WAoS Senior Fellow and PGCert International Sports Management Programme Director, said:
“The latest intake of Olympians has very positively impacted our programme. Olympians not only have a passion for sport, but also for sharing their experience with other students and the programme educators. Their contributions have been invaluable to the peer-to-peer learning aspect of our programme.”
