Leave your Mark and OLY House Tokyo 2020 are now officially closed.
More than 1,800 of you across every continent added your autograph to our interactive Leave your Mark map to show your appreciation to all who have made Tokyo 2020 so special. Leave your Mark has brought together Olympians of all ages, nations and sports to forever be part of these Games.
OLY House Tokyo 2020 has let Olympians connect and share what it means to Be OLY. It is the first time OLY House has taken place entirely online providing a unique destination for Olympians at a time when being together in person was not possible.
Hundreds of Olympians took part in our live OLY House events, including Olympians for Life Tokyo 2020 and our Tokyo 1964 Live Chat. And many more followed along with the journey of Peter Bos OLY (USA) and Kraft Schepke OLY (Germany) on International Day of Friendship. The online format has allowed us to reach even more Olympians making our Games-time programme more inclusive and establishing a new way of delivering future WOA events.
“We have been really pleased with the response to Leave your Mark and OLY House Tokyo 2020. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all Olympians who participated in our first-ever online OLY House events,” said World Olympians Association President, Joël Bouzou OLY.
“More than anything OLY House Tokyo 2020 was a platform to connect Olympians, to celebrate the Games and to make us proud to Be OLY. It has been truly inspiring to see our community come together in this way. It shows how the passion, unity and Olympic spirit that binds us is strengthened in these challenging times.
“We are planning for the eventual return of physical OLY House. With the tools we built and the experience we gained in Tokyo we can open physical OLY House to even more Olympians in future by designing a hybrid experience, one that can be enjoyed by both those who come to the Games and those who want to take part from home. You can help us build that new OLY House by telling us what you thought about OLY House Tokyo 2020 and what you would like to see in the future.”
