Last chance to apply for WOA 2024 grants
3 | 4 | 2024
The WOA 2024 Grants programme application window is closing soon. Olympians can apply for funding for projects run through your NOA which either benefit your fellow Olympians or promote physical activity in your community. More information on how to apply HERE.
One example of a project delivered by NOAs and Olympians in 2023 was Winds of Change led by Olympian and IOC Young Leader, Sophia Papamichalopoulos OLY. Sophia and her bicommunal young team completed the first full circumnavigation of Cyprus in the last fifty years.
WOA President Joël Bouzou OLY shared this message on the project:
“Our heartiest congratulations to Sophia Papamichalopoulos OLY and her team for their successful circumnavigation of Cyprus. Through the WOA Service to Society Grants Programme, we are proud to support Olympians like Sophia from the Cyprus Olympians Association who uphold the Olympic ideals and put their passion into action to deliver positive social change within their community. We are glad to be able to contribute to Sophia’s project of peace and unity in Cyprus, bringing Cypriot youths together on this sailing journey.”

This year, all Service to Society grants will be allocated for projects that promote physical activity as part of our support for the Global Alliance for Physical Activity. All grant applications must be submitted through your NOA. Find your NOA contact person through the NOA Directory HERE or get in touch with us via info@thewoa.org
WOA Service to Society and Service to Olympians grant applications will close on 7 April 2024 at 1700 Lausanne time (CET).
For NOAs, the WOA 2024 Development Grant applications are also now open. The funding for this grant is limited and offered to NOAs on a first-come-first-serve basis.
