Have your say at the OLY House Film Festival
23 | 7 | 2024
The first ever OLY House Film Festival starts Sunday and you as an Olympian get to vote for the Olympians Choice award. The films are either made by Olympians or are about the Olympic Movement and the spirit that guides us all.
The films will be shown live most evenings from July 28 to August 10 at the OLY House Theater in Paris at 1900 CET and live and then on demand at e-OLY House, our online home at home for Olympians which is open 24/7 throughout the Games.
Twenty-five films will be featured including films about boxing, weightlifting, cricket, surfing, artistic swimming and more. Three examples.
In Strong Grandma ninety-five-year-old Catherine Kuehn, a world record-winning powerlifter, reflects on the love and loss that brought her to this moment as she prepares for her last competition.
Reconnect is a documentary about professional kitesurfer and three-time world champion Jalou Langeree, who candidly discusses her career-long battle with depression while highlighting mental health issues and gender inequality in elite sport.
Winds of Change tells the story of Olympian and IOC Young Leader Sophia Papamichalopoulos from Cyprus, who aimed to unite young Greek and Turkish Cypriots by achieving the impossible: sailing around the politically divided island to challenge, empower, and inspire unity through sport.
