Secure your legacy at the Olympic Museum
Olympians are invited to donate Olympic clothing and sports equipment to The Olympic Museum as part of its Olympic Heritage collection.
The Olympic Museum is the permanent showcase of the Olympic dream, telling the story of the Olympic Games and its athletes as well as inspiring new generations through the cultural and educational programmes that it runs in Lausanne and around the world.
In order to enrich The Olympic Museum collections, assembled over the past 120 years, the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage is looking for specific objects listed below:
- Sport clothing, accessories and/or equipment worn/used during Olympic competitions, such as sport outfits, spikes, gloves, helmets, rackets, fencing swords, skis, etc.
- National kits worn during the athletes parade or victory ceremonies
- Personal mascots and lucky charms that have followed the Olympians during their sport career
Your equipment will be looked after with the utmost care in the best possible storage conditions, all with the aim of ensuring that our Olympic heritage is passed on to future generations.
All donations will be officially recognised by a diploma signed by IOC President Thomas Bach OLY and used for memory purposes only.
For further questions and / or to organise the safe and secure transfer of your items to the Olympic Museum collections, please contact: patricia.reymond@olympic.org or stephanie.knecht@olympic.org.
