94 year old Olympian Rose Voisk OLY was the star of the show at OLY House Paris 2024. After flying in from New York she came almost immediately to OLY House to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the company of her fellow Olympians.

Gymnast Rose competed in the 1948 London Olympics for Yugoslavia. After her gymnastics career was over she turned to running and competed in her final marathon in 2003 at the age of 73.

Rose last came to OLY House when it was in Rio in 2016. She flew by herself to Brazil, booked an Airbnb and convinced her host to be her guide and chauffeur. They went everywhere together. When she discovered OLY House she came every day and was an inspiration to the younger Olympians.

Rose’s first stop at OLY House Paris 2024 was to sign the Olympians Signing Wall and then have a photo taken with the Paris Olympic Torch. It was then into the Grand Salon where she had a glass of champagne and was immediately surrounded by her fellow Olympians who wanted to chat with her and hear about her life adventures.

Rose said: “I love it here at OLY House. Meeting other Olympians. It’s the highlight of my time at the Olympic Games. Obviously, I love going to see the Games and watching the great athletes, who are so much stronger, fitter and technically better than in my day. But it’s the people, the other Olympians, who make the Games what they are.”
