Olympians are lovin’ OLY House

3 | 8 | 2024

Olympians their families and friends and members of the Olympic Family who have been to OLY House are loving it. Whether it’s chilling out with old or new friends, watching the Games on the Big Screen or watching a different sport on the other 8 screens, enjoying the food and drink or taking part in the many activities, the reaction to the WOA’s OLY House in Paris has been universally positive.

There is lots happening at OLY House. Take Thursday August 1st for example. After signing the Olympians signing wall and taking a selfie with the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch, Olympians could then have settled down to watch the Games and chat with other Olympians while they rooted on their country’s athletes competing at the Games.

They could also have gone to the two workshops being run on sport and business and OI (Olympian Intelligence), have been entertained by Mister Fred Delpla OLY who sang on the stage, watched two different films in the theatre (Personal Gold by Adam Laurent OLY and Riding Uphill), saw and heard about the genetic sequencers being used to combat doping, saw the data from the weather stations being deployed at various Olympic venues to monitor heat, humidity, wind etc or seen the programmes being run by the Japanese Olympians Association.

And for those with the stamina there was Nigeria night with a dj playing Nigerian and African music, presentations, games and a bit of dancing. For those not in Paris there was lots to do on e-OLY House, the WOA’s 24/7 home at home for Olympians during the Games to keep them connected and a part of the Paris Olympics no matter where they are.

OLY House is open from 11 am to 11 pm every day. To find out what’s on every day at OLY House, e-OLY House and at the OLY House Film Festival click here.
