The NOA of Monaco has celebrated its 30th anniversary, bringing together Olympians and members of the Olympic Family in Monaco to mark the special occasion. Founded in the same year as WOA, the Monégasque NOA shares this 30-year milestone with the global organisation representing Olympians worldwide.

WOA President Pernilla Wiberg OLY joined Monaco NOA President Jérémy Bottin OLY and members of the Monégasque Olympian community for the anniversary celebrations, alongside WOA Patron HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco OLY, who has a longstanding connection with both organisations and competed for Monaco in bobsleigh at five Olympic Winter Games.

The event celebrated the Association’s history and the generations of Olympians who have represented Monaco on the world’s biggest sporting stage, as well as its continued commitment to promoting the Olympic values within the community.

WOA President Pernilla Wiberg OLY congratulated the Association on reaching the milestone.

“It was a great pleasure to join our fellow Olympians in Monaco for this very special celebration. National Olympians Associations play an incredibly important role in keeping Olympians connected and ensuring that their experience and the Olympic values continue to have an impact long after their competitive careers have ended. Congratulations to Jérémy and the entire Monégasque Olympian community on this wonderful milestone.”

Monaco NOA President Jérémy Bottin OLY said the 30th anniversary was an opportunity to celebrate the Association’s history while looking ahead to its future.

“We are very proud to celebrate this important milestone together with our Olympians and friends from across the Olympic Movement. Our Association is built around the special bond that exists between Olympians, and we look forward to continuing to bring our community together and pass on the Olympic values to future generations.”

WOA congratulates the Monégasque NOA and its members on this special anniversary and looks forward to continuing to work together to support and connect Olympians in Monaco and beyond.
