Olympians can help make Olympic Day 2014 an even bigger success

2 | 5 | 2014

On June 23rd, the world will celebrate the 66th Olympic Day – a global celebration of the modern Olympic Movement and its core values of excellence, friendship and respect.

As in previous years, the 2014 edition will see the majority of National Olympic Committees come together to organise cultural and educational activities for children and adults around the world. At the core of the celebrations is the traditional Olympic Day run – a fun event for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy physical activity while learning about the role of sport in society, Olympic ideals and how they can foster social cohesion and sporting excellence in communities across the world.

If you haven't done so already get in touch with your National Olympic Committee to explore how you can involve your members in Olympic Day activities in your country. You can also look at ways your NOA can work with your NOC on Olympic Day projects. If there are no Olympic Day activities planned in your country its not to late to set up a small activity. Get in touch and we will help you get one up and running.
