With six months to go to PyeongChang 2018, World Olympians Association is inviting Olympians to register their interest for WOA activities taking place at next year’s Winter Olympic Games.

Pre-registration is now open on the WOA website for Olympians, who are planning to attend PyeongChang 2018 and be part of what is shaping up to an incredible celebration of sport in the Korean Host City.

Following the success of last year’s award-winning Rio 2016 Olympians Reunion Centre by EY, WOA once again plans to bring Olympians of all ages, nations and sports together in a series of events and activities to celebrate their shared achievements and unique experiences of competing at the Olympic Games. Olympians will be able to reunite with past acquaintances, form new friendships and discover what others have been up to since retiring from competitive sport.

WOA President, Joel Bouzou, said:

“Our experience at Rio 2016 was truly special as we were able to meet so many different Olympians, from so many nations around the world. PyeongChang 2018 will be similar to Sochi 2014 in that we will be running WOA events and programmes but will not have a permanent base as we had in Rio.

“We will continue to be fully engaged with Olympians while at the Games, running exclusive events and activities as well as our ever-popular ticketing programme to make sure all Olympians who come to PyeongChang, regardless of whether they are competing, know that they are part of an important, global community. I would urge all Olympians who are thinking of coming to PyeongChang to register now and join us on the path to PyeongChang 2018.”

Further details of WOA’s full programme for PyeongChang 2018 will be released in due course but will include a number of exclusive, Olympian events as well as a ticketing programme, which will allow Olympians to attend selected Olympic Games events for free and the return of the very popular chaperone programme.
